Searching Wedding Songs

Today, I've spent 90% of my awaken hours reading abt, searching, filtering and compiling the wedding songs for dor jie.

It's quite fun at first actually. I dug out my old (&illegal) collections from my old cds and listen to those (uncountable) potential ones. I've found some gems in the process, and at the same time, realised I've lost 2 cds of mp3s... i've also got very sick of listening oldies that are sung in a super draggy and slowwwwwww manner....

But today!! In the process of compiling the songs!! I've made some discoveries..

I used to adore the late Frank Sinatra. But after listening to an amount of his songs at one go today. I got sick of them. He has a nice voice...... but his singing style for love/slow songs is almost all the same!! I find him boring!!!.. Still prefer his more upbeat jazz pieces..

I have some songs by the same title but different version/language. It's actually quite fun to listen and choose the most approporiate version out. I'm also sick of Michael Buble now. Sexy voice? errr...... I think uncle frank is sexier if he sings abit faster in those love tunes.... I find his voice rather empty. Don't know why..

My favorite has to be Nat King Cole!! Hahaa.. but I also realised most of his more famous songs are.... christmas songs.. Nonetheless, I've managed to churn out 7 of his love songs. Everything by him is so soo nice..... ^_____^

Ohhh!! and the greatest discovery of the day is......

I've found Emi Fujita!!!

She's a japanese singer who can sing jazz music!!!

I've found her in one of my long-lost cds. I find her approach rather refreshing and that makes me less sick.

haha.. But unfortunately..... I only have 1 of her songs - What a Wonderful World. At that time, I was also very sick of listening to music and I thought I didn't have to listen to this song since I'm so familiar with it. But on second thought, I thought that I better check this version as I didn't know who sang it. And Tada!!

I've found her..
