Hehs. I'm gonna blog abt badminton again!!

Feeling rebellious and attitude, I refused to sleep early on a friday night. I know I got a practice in the morning. But I was hoping I can skip it becus it's quite off to travel all the way to telok blangah just for a 2 hour badminton session. But luckily colleague is nice enough to give some of us a lift there. Not too bad. I thought I will be in a super stoney state while playing. But in the end, I thought I did satisfactorily. Less sleep, more luck? Some Y theory from ys.

Actually, morning exercise is good. fresh air and made u less sleepy and more alert. good leh. i reached home at 1pm, ate and fell asleep on sofa. woke up bathed and quickly set off to meet christine at orchard!! it's so nice to meet up with one of my favourite friends. :) but the laughter isn't complete without that #*%#@(^$ suz!

everytime i read or talk about mountains, i'll think of the adventurous times at mt ophir. memories flowing back. i can only smile back..

Met up with some of the krabi gang, and some of the soon-to-be taiwan gang for dinner and mind cafe after work. And also took this opportunity to congratulate ah bren that she is 1 year older in person. :X

Dinner at thai express is value for $$. Nice food! Hot and spiceeeey~~ I like! :D~ There were some hiccups as HF forgot to bring her HP. Poor gal walked to-fro to look for us. Luckily she called her mom to find out my number. Mind cafe @ dohby ghaut was packed even though we have already made our reservations beforehand. We reached there at 9pm although our bookings was being pushed back to 9.15.. (the person told us 9.20pm when we reached there.. NBNBNBNB). Anyway, he said he will call. But he never. NB right? Stupid guy shouldn't make the promise to call when he can't keep it (obvious that their business is toooo good to care about us). Don't care! I'm boycotting the branch at dohby ghaut. Reacted strongly now because i was thinking how he made 8 of us wandered along the streets of selegie that night. ARGHHHH I wanna bite him! Argghhh.. he should have at least called to appease us!

No contingency plans. Hence, we walked to the dao huey shop and proceeded to play billiard and pool. Billiard..... sucks. I shouldn't have made the stupid comment that the pool table is too small. What the hell was I thinking then. Sorry peeeple. We decided to play pool after everyone gave up on billiard. But is it just me or what? i find it's so much easier to play pool after playing billiard!!! :D

Hehs.. saw eva during the transition from billiard to pool. Nothing much, just thought it's been almost 2 years since i've met her.

Actually, although we didn't get to play at mind cafe, it's still fun. At least, i know some people were rather entertained by the lollipop i gave ah bren. Hahaha..

heh not really bad news. but i found my pants are getting tighter and tighter these days. arms are getting thicker. face rounder. and :( while gonna brush teeth, i found some seaweed was stuck between my tooth since lunch time.

After a long wait, i've finally caught it on youtube just now. Quite slow paced until the last part where he proposed. Then i moved on to the comments people posted online. Nobu is going to have a new gf later!! :( My heart breaks again cus I thought both of them are really cute together. :'(

I slept a lot last night. Don't know why so many people still say I looked tired in the morning. *frowns* I thought I was feeling more tired on monday morning. perhaps, they have nothing to talk to me? Hehs.

Went for badminton practice again. I could still feel the strain in my left butt and right foot. Esp, my right foot. Now, even my back is aching. Felt really old. Then the expert told me the way I play looks weird to him. :( sadder. but nvm, I rather him say now so I know where to correct myself. :D There will be another practice on saturday morning. Quite sian actually, because I might be staying out late on Friday.

Ah.. i can't stand my stench now. tata~

As if I'm not irritated enough when I didn't get enough sleep, this lady in long skirt stepped on my poor little toe while we were on the train ride to work. Really NB. Argh.. I screamed out in pain I let out a loud "ouchhhhh" when she stepped on my toe. Bloody painful. I thought my toe has broken into 2. So I took a look at it. Nothing unusual. But the pain persisted. Took a 2nd look. I could see a line forming on my injured toe. And by the time i took a 3rd look, blood is oozing out.

ok, the lady was really apologetic then. But it was so painful that i couldn't bring myself to reply a "it's ok" back. Didn't do anything to make her feel better. I just ignored her and focused on my injury. Hehs. Kinda bad lar. :X

Arghh... i'm glad that my toe nail didn't come out.

Friday, we celebrated Meow's birthday by having porridge lunch buffet at tiong bahru plaza. Saturday, we celebrated SoonHeng's birthday by having dinner at xin wang jiao cha chan ting and then adjourned to having a mind-stimulating session at minds cafe. In many ways, I felt really in debt grateful to these two people. They are one of the nicest (in their own ways) people I met in the building. Both helped me out in a lot of areas. Of course, there are also other nice people lah.. but it's their bday week. so ermm.. yalah.. WooHooo~~ Happy Birthday guys~~~~

Anyway, had fun today playing the board games at minds cafe. like the past, i don't like strategy games. Becus I don't know who will I offend when I become a little aggressive. So, reaction game is still my fav~~~ though, i'm not as fast as i think....... Anyway, we ate and played until past midnight. Thanks to BTiang for sending me home afterwards. I felt very pai seh because it's not really on the way. Ehh.. maybe it's really time to learn how to drive and save up for a car. Ehh.. but i think that will still take some time.

today is the first time I've enjoyed playing badminton after so long... i think i'm improving~ :D I was feeling really sluggish with sore throat and fever. Popped a strepsil before the practice and suddenly felt i'm all fired up!! The match is 2 days later. hope the muscle ache won't crank up on me.

Dinner last night was spent at Suntec's Sizzler with some colleagues and friends. I like their salad buffet best! although i spotted a strand of hair halfway eating the potatoes. YUCKS!! Ohh, the buffet comes complimentary with any main course ordered.

The standard of their main course is inconsistent. I got myself fish & fries and saw my fried fish over-fried while EL's one looked ok. ZZ also told me her Dory fish looked pale in comparison with shiok's one. I was complaining how my fish tasted horrible and soon, kind EL donated 1 of her fish to me. LH also donated a slice of meat to me. :') I think I must have looked greedy with all the food coming from peoples' plate. Hahaha.. Anyway, thanks gals~ :D I ate up all the donations and left 70% of the food on my own plate..untouched.. :p

Service there wasn't great. YLD came in late and started eating WJ's food - the salad. Then this waiter came over to say something like "I assumed you are taking the salad buffet right". I didn't hear that myself, but from the look of their service (never smile, face black black), I assumed that he wasn't using a very friendly tone too.

Some of us proceeded for a drink at Harry's Bar after dinner. The place is noisy because we are sitting just beside the speaker. Gotta shout to make ourselves heard. Terrible. The drinks are diluted with ice. Lame jokes exchanged before we left the place at 1am.

I was a little earlier than usual (but still not that early) at work on the first work day in 2007~~ Anyway, this morning, I met alot of like-minded people who attempted to be earlier than usual after the long holidays. Hence, all of us are trapped in a long queue outside the gate. Hah.

Wanted to wear my new whities to work but i realized i have badminton after work today. Argh. I shall wear them tomorrow and guard them with my life!! I sensed some itchy pairs of feet. hohoho. Speaking of badminton, I think I've made some efforts in running around today. I don't like competitions because it made me forget how to enjoy the game. Anyway, I was really lousy lah. Kept making the same old mistakes. I just hope I won't throw face on that day.

Not productive at work. Realized I'm still a muddlehead (as always). Very upset but I shall persevere. Lalalala~ This year's resolution is to be wiser and happier!~

I get really upset when someone who likes to spend money on expensive clothes commented that I likes to spend money. The fact is, she gets to travel a lot due to work and her in-laws are overseas, so she has to travel as well. But me, I just like to travel with a group of friends while we are still young. Imagine, when everyone has their own little family to take care of. What are the chances of friends traveling together? Every family has their own places to go and their own stuffs to do. Priority for friends will drop to rock bottom. Organizing a gathering is spore itself will only get more and more difficult. Oh ya, as we are climbing up the corporate ladder, it gets even harder to control your time too. Why am I so upset?

I wanted to share my joy. But all I got is disapproval. It's very sad when you spent so much effort and money on something and some people just poured cold water on you. Well, at least, I don't spend a few hundred bucks on a pair of shorts which will shrunk by a few inches when it's first washed.

I'm not angry with her. Just feeling upset. Perhaps, she really struck a guilty chord in me.

I woke up at 3pm the 2nd time this year. After all the amount of sleep I've accumulated over the holidays, I can finally see my eyes now. :D

This afternoon, I woke up and was having some random images running through my head. Images from the past. Like the sewing room way back in secondary school. I smiled. But those are only images. Those days were simple, happy and carefree.

I remember watching this interview with Wang Sha and Ye feng (both died) when I was younger. Ye Feng (the skinny guy) said he is a person who likes to look back at the past. I could relate to him. Then this Wang Sha (the not so skinny guy) tactfully said he thinks there's no point looking at the past (to him, it's a waste of time) and we all should look into our future. I listened, and felt really unhappy with him. But now, what he said made sense to me. We can't move on if we can't let go of the past. So, in this new year, I should just look ahead and keep the memories as memories. Hmm.. well, cus they can only be memories. I can't be happier if I keep comparing the present with memories. Lalalaa~ Think less, do more! Sleep more! I shall start my spring cleaning......... soon. :p
